Three Ways to Update BIOS on Your Gigabyte Mobo

I. Update through a U disk

1. Go to Gigabyte website, go to “Find Your Motherboards”, and select the corresponding model (check out the “rev” version).

2. Go to “Support” and download the latest version of BIOS.

3. Extract the zip file and copy only the F6 file to an empty U disk formatted at FAT 32.

4. Insert the U disk to a motherboard with BIOS to be updated.

5. Boot the device and keep pressing “End” key.

6. Enter Q-Flash and select the file in the U disk and enter.

7. Keep on clicking Yes and OK. It will automatically reboot to update the BIOS.

II. Update through the @BIOS Utility (if available)

1. Go to Gigabyte website, go to “Find Your Motherboards”, and select the corresponding model (check out the “rev” version).

2. Go to “Support” and download the latest version of BIOS.

3. Find @BIOS in Utility and download.

4. Extract the BIOS zip file.

5. Open the @BIOS file and install the “setup.exe”.

6. Press Win key and click on “@Bios.exe”.

7. Click on “Update from File”.

8. Find the extracted BIOS F6 file and click to OK to enable the automatic update.

III. Update through QFLASH-PLUS (Hardcore BIOS update bypassing CPU)

1. Go to Gigabyte website, go to “Find Your Motherboards”, and select the corresponding model (check out the “rev” version).

2. Go to “Support” and download the latest version of BIOS.

3. Extract the zip file and copy only the F6 file to an empty U disk formatted at FAT 32.

4. Rename the file to “GIGABYTE.Bin”.

5. Insert the U disk to the “BIOS USB” interface of the motherboard to be updated.

6. Make sure that only 24P power cord is connected.

7. Press the white QFLASH button on the motherboard.

8. The orange light flashes in a lengthening interval, meaning the BIOS file is being read.
