CPU and memory are two main parts to boost up your device. And here I’m going to talk about memory modules.

Here I have KingBank Silver Heatsink DDR5-6400 16GB memory kit. The DDR5 memory modules feature a way higher frequency from 4800MHz and above, which easily outperform the previous DDR4 ones. The motherboard I used here is Gigabyte B760M Gaming AC, supporting DDR5 and high bandwidth and low latency to release the full potential of the DRAM kit.

The KingBank Silver Heatsink DDR5-6400 Memory kit is wrapped in a black color box, which holds the KingBank logo in the center and is dotted with some silver lines below. The other two icons on the bottom right corner say something about the product lifetime warranty services.

The module is armored with a silver-white aluminum heatsink, better expelling the heat generated amid high-speed operation. Some raised decorations are featured on both sides and a KingBank logo sits on the upper right corner.

The heatsink is buckle-locked on the PCB board, which may be disassemble manually.

Viewed from aside, the PCB is solid thick and neatly welded. But the heatsink is not brick-thick but light to make the whole module light and great at heat dissipation.

Next I install them into the motherboard. Check the slots before aligning because they are different from the DDR4 ones.

The KingBank Silver Heatsink Memory Modules are RGB-less but really affordable. If a lighting effect should be factored into, check out KingBank SharpBlade RGB Gaming Memory.

Test Platform

CPU: 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12600KF

Motherboard: Gigabyte B760M GAMING AC

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

Memory: KingBank DDR5 6400MHz 16GB *2

Storage: aigo P3000 2TB

Battery: CoolerMaster V650 Gold

Case: MONTECH SKY TWO

Cooling: METAL DT24 Premium Liquid Cooler

In CPU-Z, we can see that the DDR5 memory modules are Hynix A-die chips with a default frequency at 6400MHz (3200MHz*2), working at a voltage of 1.4V at timings 32-39-39-80. Thats pretty awesome to stay at CL32 under a frequency up to 6400MHz.

KingBank Silver Heatsink DDR5-6400 Gaming Memory uses Hynix A-die chips numbered H5CG48AGBD, holding an overclocking potential among 6000~8000MHz. KingBank has set the default frequency at 6000MHz to ensure the system stability. But the module supports one-click enabling Intel XMP3.0 profile.

Under the default frequency, AISA64 measured the read/write/copy speeds at 95341/86683/86021MB per second, with a latency at 66.6ns.

Seen from the test results, the memory modules are doing quite good, due in part to the quality Hynix dies and to the brand new DIMM structure which turns the 64-bit bandwidth to dual 32-bit channels so as to fasten the data accessing and lower the latency. In addition, the ODECC specific to DDR5 memory which self-correct the errors amid operation is sure to grant the system a higher level of stability and security.

Considering the High Bandwidth Low Latency mode special to GIGABYTE motherboard, lets enable and try out the memory modules.

Enable this mode in BIOS and reboot the computer. Then open AIDA64, and we have the read, write and copy speeds measured as follows respectively: 95426MB/s, 86690MB/s, 85891MB/s, a slight bump-up is seen here. The latency is measured at 67.1ns.

So after half a month of use, the KingBank Silver Heatsink DDR5-6400 Gaming Memory modules are still living up to my expectations. Featuring DDR5 with a main frequency up to 6400MHz at CL32-39-39-80, the modules are of high-quality with Hynix A-die chips, dual-channel DIMM and ODECC to deliver a higher-speed read and write stably. Plus a product-lifetime warranty, the modules are secure to use with a satisfied after-sales warranty policy.
