Review: KingBank SharpBlade RGB DDR5-6400 Memory Kit, One-Click OverclockingВремя публикации:2023-03-10 12:23 Forward For gamers or enthusiasts, overclocking your desktops is a satisfying challenge to take. Previously we had to manually set the voltage, timings and all in the BIOS and maybe later debug them repeatedly to stably overclock. Now we have the XMP or EXPO setups by Intel and AMD in memory RAMs to enable us one-click overclocking, and everything comes much easier. Today I'm going to show you KingBank SharpBlade RGB DDR5-6400 Memory Modules with SK Hynix A-die chip. Specifications Model: KingBank SharpBlade RGB Gaming Memory Memory Capacity: 32GB (16GB*2) Memory IC: SK Hynix (A-die) Memory Speed: 6400MT/s Memory Timings: 32-39-39-80 Memory Voltage: 1.4V RGB Lighting: Dual-side addressed LED lamp beads, synced lighting Warranty: Limited Lifetime Unboxing Packed in a neat black box, KingBank has its DDR5 series memory modules adorned in a stylishly simplified way. Be it the silver heatsink modules or this SharpBlade RGB gaming memory kit, they made you look. Remove the box and we see the modules properly held by a plastic tray. The memory stick is armored with a 2mm-thick white aluminum heatsink, featuring a red character meaning Blade in Chinese and some carving marks along. The heatsink adds style and works for a faster heat dissipation. Look closer and we can see matte-white light strip atop, which grants a softened lighting effect. It's advertised to support synced lighting with the motherboard control. And the Hynix A-die chip supports Intel XMP3.0 and AMD EXPO one-click overclocking up to 6400MHz, rendering one irresistible to try out. System Overview & Testing Processor: Intel Core i7-13700K Motherboard: GIGABYTE B760M AORUS ELITE AX (WIFI) Memory: 32GB KingBank SharpBlade RGB (DDR5-6400) Power: Super Flower LEADEX VP Platinum 850W Cooling: Thermalright Frozen Horizon 360 Case: ASUS AP201 We used a black-based motherboard to match the silver-white memory modules. With extra heatsinks on the motherboard, better heat dissipation is guaranteed for the DDR5 RAM modules overclocking. The motherboard is equipped with 4 DDR5 memory slots, up to 128GB RAM to 7600MHz. Together with 3 ARGB pressured fans, it offers up to 69CFM wind in low noise to expel heat effectively. To get a better view on overclocking of the motherboard, here I tested the DDR5 memory modules on their default frequency, overclocked 6400MHz and the XMP profile in an adjusted motherboard of high bandwidth and low latency. First we enter BIOS and check if it is updated to the latest version, where more overclocking options are available. After that, we can see there are High Bandwidth and Low Latency options besides the XMP/EXPO setup. Then we can test under different conditions to check out a more sophisticated memory performance. Below are the benchmarking of KingBank DDR5-6400 memory modules in default 4800MHz, overclocked 6400MHz and XMP 6400MHz in high bandwidth and low latency mode. In AIDA 64 benchmarking, we can see that the XMP-6400MHz memory modules measured a 27.7%, 17% and 22% better performance than the default frequency in reading, writing and copying respectively, and a latency down from 84.8ns to 69.2ns. And in high-bandwidth and low-latency mode, the overclocked 6400MHz modules registered even better performance than the former XMP-6400MHz mode, at 7.7, 18.9 and 13.9 percentage points respectively with a latency down to 64.2ns.
In PerformanceTest, these memory modules under the aforementioned three modes registered a score of 3571, 3941, and 4313 respectively, and the higher the better. Apparently, the overclocked 6400MHz memory modules in a high-bandwidth and low-latency motherboard struck the highest performance score. High-frequency memory features not only a boosted performance in data transmission, but most of all, a more powerful gaming experience. With TIME SPY in 3DMARK, KingBank SharpBlade RGB memory modules measured scores of 8035, 8104 and 8139 (higher is better) respectively under the default 4800MHz, overclocked 6400MHz and overclocked 6400MHz with a high-bandwidth and low-latency setup. Though benchmark in the graphics card was almost the same, performance test in CPU operation saw a rather distinguishable growth. Conclusion The above-average GIGABYTE B760M AORUS ELITE AX can perfectly click with the KingBank SharpBlade RGB DDR5 gaming memory modules, even for some picky gamers. With one-click overclocking, KingBank SharpBlade RGB DDR5 memory modules with SK Hynix A-die chip can meet most normal users' need to upgrade their RAM operation in a real quick and stable and stylish and most of all budget-friendly way.
